If he ends up at somewhere like York then I truly give up

I wonder if Rochdale will try and take him back. League 1 football could be a factor, but I'd expect we can offer more financially than Rochdale.

I wouldn't say he's cut out to be a starter in League 1 and I think he's said that he wants to go somewhere where he's starting. I would hope at this stage that it would be a formality, he's said he wants to come here so if he ends up somewhere else then it'd be a bit of a weird one.

The news and star today say we've held talks with Kennedy and Atkinson but we haven't been able to agree terms with them.

It'd be a great sign of our ambitions to go up if we didn't sign them wouldn't it...
Does it say we're still negotiating or is that it?

As I said on the Bristol Rovers thread: I was very impressed with Aristote Nsiala at Centre back for Grimsby who is now out of contract (according to wiki) anyone else watch the game yesterday?

On Kennedy, rumour is that we're 50/50 on him as a few League 1 clubs are looking at him. Personally don't think he's quite that level really, would be worth shifting the budget for as he's already got to know the club - better than signing a new player totally who might have a better reputation but doesn't have the experience with CUFC and Mr Curle...

Yes I watched and it was an absolutely awful game. They can't have both been that bad throughout the season to finish in the play-offs? I suspect the big Wembley pitch and the importance of the game got the better of the players

He's said publicly that he wants to join us and he's excited by the future with us etc. He was a success during his loan period. He's exactly what our midfield needs. Surely not even Carlisle United can f*** this one up??

Should look over the border a bit more then players would be nearer,we need to have less players travelling every day it's no wonder they are incapable of being consistent.

Doncaster have released Jamie McCombe, Theo Robinson, Abdul Razak, Reece Wabara, Dean Furman, Stephen Bywater.
Reece Wabara would be a good shout. Based in the North, right back.

Blackpool seem to be repeating their policy of having only a small number of players contracted over summer. They only have 10. Will there be another mad scramble for players no-one else wants just to field a team in the first fixture line they did last season?

Didn't blackpool accept the fact they'd be in league 2 about half way through last season and then spent the rest of the season preparing for life in the league below?
Now they have no manager and 10 players...oh dear

Noticed on twitter that one of the cufc accounts has just started following Josh Wright.
Out of contract at orient, apparently mates with Keith Curle's son. And his brother is marrying Michelle Keegan this summer.
Could be coincidence like.

Hasn't Curle repeated Kav's policy of clearing everyone out......!! Unless he starts bringing in a few exciting players I am beginning to think we have got an absolute dud as a manager.

Two big-strong centre-backs to drag us out of this division Peter Clarke&Gary Mackenzie. David Perkins is a decent laal player but I think he'll have better offers than a struggling L2 club.

Dean Furman from Donny would be a superb signing, was excellent for Oldham too. Likely out of our range wage wise though...

I remember Jamie McCombe being a good centre back for Bristol City and Huddersfield. Doncaster releasing him would suggest he's on the downhill, but might still be good at this level.
