I hope we have a go at signing a couple of young Premier League/Championship rejects this summer instead of just other lower league rejects. No more Billy Paynters please. Wasn't Paynter a Championship reject?

Michael Raynes (Mansfield) to sign next week apparently Manager Adam Murray, who has made six signings during the January transfer window, said of Raynes' arrival: "Michael is an experienced Football League defender and is organiser and a leader. "He's a no-nonsense type defender who also has the ability to be comfortable in possession of the ball." i had to Google him mind

Raynes played against us for Stockport in 2010, a 0-0 draw where Dobie was sent off, I remember this game as my daughter was mascot and lad got shirt for 7s, a terrible game. The other reason I remember it, was Raynes said some pretty disparaging stuff about CUFC, I think this was documented on the messageboard, it may have been in the press too?
I spoke with Dicker at the awards dinner, as Dicker played with him at Stockport, apparently a decent lad, I do seem to recall back then he was a decent defender, albeit 5 years ago.
Could he be the experienced defender to take O'Hanlons place? A Mansfield reject, hopefully more like Kev Gray than some of the other journeymen we have had.

Crewe - Billy Waters, Liam Nolan, Anthony Stewart and Vadaine Oliver.
Wasn't Curle interested in Oliver before he went to Mansfield(?) on loan?

Aaron O'Connor could be worth a punt.

Lee Minshull ran the show in both games against us this season

Seeing as I got Danny Kearns right last summer I figured i'd take another punt at a signing this summer - i'm going for Armand Gnanduillet from Chesterfield. No real reason apart from a vague rumour of League 2 interest. Supposedly due to be released at some point soon.

Hoskins certainly would be a good signing if he plays like a couple of years ago. I think Curle has a limited budget at the moment though and will be looking for defenders. If he can move on the availables then he might look further forward Paynter could do a job if playing like a few years ago

Yes, disappointing Rudy has gone. Usually a 1 in 4 good games man but been top drawer back half of the season. High earner turning 30 not rated by the Iti. Will stay in the Champoinship. White has had big injury problems. Remember reading in the News and Star how Taylor was going to rip him a new one when he started against the blues as a 16 year old. Also struggled with having no set position. Started as left back, moved to left wing, but if there was a blind alley, fir chance he would find it. Probably nailed on for Bradford or Sheff Wed. Some of the younger players deemed very unlucky (especially Booker and Atkinson) but simply too many young players coming through at once. Defo worth getting them on trial for a look.

Any of them full backs?

Yes, Booker is a full back/midfielder. So is Thompson, ex-Everton, and White obviously.

Bury have made midfielder Nicky Adams available for transfer. He'd be a very good signing I thought that when I saw it. Signed for Bury for an 'undisclosed fee' only a year ago. Probably on a decent wage though and there must be a reason he's listed.

Can't we do the thing where we pay a grand a week and Bury pay the rest up to his contract cost?

Bradford City seem to releasing their players in dribs and drabs. Matty Dolan (22) ex-Smoggie with York and Hartlepool both linked, the latter probably favourites as his home-town club. Wyke and Kennedy should know all about him.

Yeah I did check their twitter, apparently their manager never lets the retained list out all as one thing. Kennedy as far as I can tell is all but a done deal though in terms of leaving them, fans on their forum aren't even considering him coming back.
