He'd be a great signing. I will be pleased if we sign him and Keane from Preston.

I feel your just putting 2 and 2 and 2 together here but I have a feeling you could be right. Got man of the match for league one Oldham on Saturday, would be a weird one for him to drop down a league

Ibehre will not be signing for us. Far too good for a team 3rd bottom of league 2.

just gone back to colchester after 3 months at oldham. theyve said there in discussions to pay up his contract. the lad is still available on loan in the mean time.
dont think he can return to oldham, i think there a max amount of time you can spend at a side on loan with out it being a long term loan. but they obviously cant do that with the window now been shut

We should be looking at far better strikers than 32yo Journeymen...

I've always liked Ibehre, he's a unit but he's not just a big lump, he's got a bit of ability and isn't slow.
I'd take him over Paynter any day.

I disagree. A big lump is exactly what he is and if he's the type we are looking to sign then hoofball will remain and the crowds will go down even further.

We need a target man, we cant always win playing good football, a good football squad can switch to a long ball tactic, also a long ball tactic does not always mean bad football and long ball football is not always hoof ball, i think out main problem last season was a lack of an outlet we have no player who could hold up the ball. Also he's not a big lump when when i've seen him he runs the channel and can play passing football.

This simply isn't true and deep down you know it. You're looking at the fact he's 6ft 2 and ignoring everything else. He played in a Leyton Orient team that played really good football, he was an off the shoulder type forward in that team. He played in an MK Dons team that gave us a footballing lesson at BP a few seasons ago and was probably their best player that day.

Fair enough if that's the sh*t you want to watch, personally I don't. If we sign him he won't even get into double figures.

Ignoring that the poster above has shown that Ibehre has played in teams who played passing football. I couldn't care how we play as long as we win games.

Loan signing already, nothing like building a committed team loan played should only be season long so at least they have a vested interest in helping the team.

As a midfielder I would love him in my team if he shows the form he is capable of,Danny Livesey always said he wasn't bothered about his goal threat,it was that he took 2 defenders out of the game to allow others to capatilise. He will have other offers for sure.
