Just because you dont like Liverpool doesnt automatically mean you like Man Utd. Id like to see them both get relegated. And Chelsea and Arsenal.

Don't mind Arsenal - quite like the style of football - and if I have to pick a team to win the Premiership I would rather them than the rest. Don't have anything much against Man City , although I dislike the way they have simply bought themselves a couple of titles.
Have always despised Man Utd and Chelsea - won't watch them play each other and support ANY team playing against them.
Didn't use to mind Liverpool but in the last few years their general attitude as a club has started to get right on my tits and I was quite pleased that they so amusingly buggered up their league title last year! Can't see them getting that close again this time though!

Arsenal 88-89 , several home grown players (Thomas, Merson, Adams , Rocastle etc) and the rest of their team were bought on the cheap.

Was it not the class of whenever? Local lads and a few good older players? Not a utd fan but to me they were the last.

1992-93 Man Utd had a few bargains such as Cantona and Schmeichel but only Giggs, Sharpe and Hughes were home grown and featured regularly. They had spent big money (for the time, obviously) in the preceding years on the likes of Ince, Parker and Pallister.
They then bought Keane for what was the UK transfer record so any further success wasn't entirely on the cheap.
The fact is that you can't win the league without spending money but I just feel that in recent years Chelsea and Man City have taken that to an extreme that I'm not comfortable with.

I think it says a lot about people when schadenfraude becomes an obsession. I take great pleasure in mocking these *******s as finding a follower of this team with an ounce of class or modesty is almost as hard as finding white dogshit.

Even though they're from the same City, you don't find Everton supporters being given the same level of abuse. Why is that?

Just because you dont like Liverpool doesnt automatically mean you like Man Utd. Id like to see them both get relegated. And Chelsea and Arsenal. Exactly why so many people can't stand the scousers...they have this superiority complex that makes them think they're everyone's second team, and they just assume the only possible reason anyone could have for wanting to see them fall flat on their arrogant arses must be because those people are Man Utd fans. I suspect the truth began to dawn on them last season, such was the 'lively' national response to Captain Slippy and his antics vs Chelsea
