Hearing calls for Gerrard to be dropped myself, still think they will do alright personally.

Crossed my mind earlier about Gerrard. Not performing.

In one of the papers this morning that Balotelli ignored Brendan Rodgers request to applaud the travelling Liverpool fans, at full time.

Gerrard can't play week in week out anymore. He's lost pace and his passing hasn't been up to his usual standard. Too many changes form last season and they're trying to play different football. If their players don't gel soon then they're heading the same way as man utd lol

Same as Spurs last season when they lost Bale. Got lots of money and spent the vast majority of it on inferior players. For both of them it looked like they had a much stronger squad but it is very difficult to replace someone who has the ability to produce that bit of magic out of nothing. A bit like when we lost Derek Holmes.
Teams are also working out that Gerrard is about the only decent passer in the Liverpool team and they are working hard to close him down and stop him from spraying passes around.

Big loss Suarez, to reliant on Sturridge and Sterling, no comment on Balotelli. Most them seem knackered.

I don't think Gerrard has done a good job protecting their back 4, even last season when they were sweeping all before them (and still conceding a lot of goals). I'd play him further up the pitch and get someone else to sit in front of the back 4 - Lucas maybe? For some reason people think you need to move players further back as they get older, Chelsea did it with Lampard and thought he was finished - City are asking him to do what he's always done, and he's scoring goals again. Is Totti sitting in front of the Roma back for playing as a 'quarter-back'?

It just shows that Liverpool were more or less a one man team. Last season Suarez's form tailed off and Liverpool floundered as a result. Without him this season they're also rans. And as for Rodgers being hailed by Scousers as the new Shankly!

You could say the same about Uruguay to an extent.
Certainly going to be interesting to see how well he does in Spain.

I see David Blaine is gutted. His record of doing **** all in a box was broken by Mario Ballotelli yesterday.
