Amos. 7. Had no chance for the free kick, at all. Not much else to do apart from that. Ehmer. 8. Mr. Solid once again, thought he was going to have a shot at one point! O'Hanlon 8. Harsh yellow (from where i was) for someone with a yard less pace he did well against fast oppo. CMW. 8. Rightly subbed, is a bit awkward with his size running behind folk, timely challenges / headers. See his throw in? Potts. 8. Proved today where he should be playing. Grew more and more in confidence. Buaben 8. Skill and vision, can be a little careless, but done a job today. Noble. 10. Best game in a CUFC shirt for me. He was everywhere, immense display. Berrett. 8. Dead ball crosses improved, but still not won by us. very good today Amoo. 8. Easiest man on the park to have a twine at but boy does he come up with the good when needed. Guy. 7. Tireless display, marshaled well though, some nice closing down runs. Deserved the start. Lawrence 7. Thorn in the side for Posh without really threatening. Caused them panic though getting forward. Miller. 7. Held up play ok, couldnt have done that for 90 mins though Robson. 8. Brilliant cameo, he is our biggest threat in that form. Morris. 7. Not really long enough to impact, but a great run towards the end wasted enough time to see the game out. Fantastic team performance today, we raised the game and deserved the points.

Kav's tactics - 9, god knows what the formation was in the first half, but he isn't scared to change things

I think the clue is under his avatar. "Paddock Whinger" It was a much MUCH better performance today, but i suppose you`ll never keep everyone happy.

Amos 9 - Solid as ever, and potentially a fantastic fingertip penalty save. Ehmer 10 - Outstanding and unphased as usual CMW 7 - Some quality on the ball, but one or two defensive issues to sort out O'Hanlon 8 - Solid, however a couple of little mistakes which could have developed into chances for them. Potts 7 - One of his better performances for us, definately not a full-back, seems at home in the midfield driving forward and tackling when needed. Berrett 7 - Some good interceptions to break up their play Noble 10 - Ran all game and passed well, breaking up their play and holding the midfield together. Buaben 8 - Definately looked much better at the tip of the midfield behind the striker, some creative tricks and passes unfortunately didn't develop into anything more. Amoo 7 - Gutless tackler, but got into the right position for the goals which is all you can ask him to do. Lawrence 9 - Great quality on the ball and looked a real dangerman for us. Guy 6 - Did what was expected of him - ran as much as he could, but no real creative spark with him.
Robson 9 - Changed the game due to the new formation, great pace and assist for Amoo's second. Miller 7 - Won a few headers, and had some good control Morris 7 - Almost broke through and scored at the end but was unfortunately fouled.

Fantastic 3 points, but I think there's a few too many 9's/10's being dished out. We got the result, but didn't play (or need to play) particularly well to do so.

Maybe it was just where we were, there was a buzz among the fans, due to the vast improvement on the pitch.

we played really well, first half they only got into our half a couple times (no exaggeration), second half once they went down to ten men, they upped their game

i beg to differ. we did play well and had to play well to get that result. they're not 5th by accident.

Amos 8 If he saved the penalty bravo Ehmer 9 man of the match O'Hanlon 7 solid and showed he can pass it better when he has to CMW 7 His passing is fantastic, few little mistakes Berrett 7 Did thirlwells job, and was more attacking than than thirlwell (but was helped by number of mid fielders) Noble 8 Fantastic performance Buaben 7 worked hard Potts 7 Worked hard Amoo 8 Two goals well taken Lawrence 7 gives us something different Guy 6 ran about and worked hard
Robson 9 changed the game Miller 7 did his job of holding up Morris n/a not long enough but did make a good run

Like most fans on here I thought Noble was brilliant today, but did Kavanagh agree? I was stood in the paddock by the tunnel and Kavanagh was shouting and shaking his head in frustration at Noble all game. At one point Noble just outstretched his arms in bemusement at Kavanagh and just couldn't understand why he was being berated. I wouldn't be surprised if Thirlwell replaces Noble at Crewe!!

nobbs was the lynchpin today, everything went through him. best midfield performance i've seen for a long time from any carlisle player. tackling, being tackled, attacking, defending everything. but as discussed between us on the way out, if he could play like that every game he wouldn't be here.

Noble was superb, an all action performance. I hope he keeps his place but I don't want Buaben dropped. It was a quieter game than usual from him, but i still think he has that extra bit of quality to pick out a pass that none of our other midfielders have. His one touch pass to send Lawrence through when he nearly scored was quality.
It's good we have options though. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this Roddan as well. He must be good if we want him permanently.
