Please keep the lad away from right back or ya gonna destroy his confidence! Am I the only one who thinks he has good potential as a midfielder? Can pick a pass and has a ferocious shot on him. If he does play right back though get behind him and don't groan when he picks ball up like the morons beside me on thursday!

you're not alone, don't worry. he's wasted back there and a bit of a liability too.

Totally agree... He has good potential in midfield but is a total liability at Right back.

Have to agree midfield is his position. If we don't destroy his confidence we could have a real player on our hands.

I thought Ehmer looked excellent at right back.. I would imagine he will return to that position against The Posh with Meppen-Walter back

Potts was only recalled for that CMW suspension. I agree his best position is midfield, but he`ll be down the pecking order waiting on that regular spot.

Like all supporters I always want new signings\youth players to do well and enthusiastically look for potential. Potts has the physical attributes and athleticism of the modern day footballer but his speed of thought and lack of awareness is letting him down badly. I hope he eventually makes the grade but tbh I don't think he will at this level

I think he will eventually make this level maybe even higher given time and the right coaching. however he isn't ready at the moment and I think he would benefit from a loan move to league 2. Regards to him being a midfielder or right back I also think he is a better midfielder. He is being played at right back because he isnt as gd as our other midfield players at the moment and we have no one else for right back while chimbonda is out.

I'm not convinced he will make it as a midfielder either despite the early promise shown.

The lad will only improve with pitch-time. Perhaps a months loan away is the answer.

I'm hoping we'll be in a position to loan him out to a league 2 side.
He's definitely got the potential, from the paddock on Saturday, you can tell from his body language and the way Kav was talking to him whenever he could, that he's down on his confidence.

Could it be Kav just does not manage the young lads day to day in training as well as Abbott did ? They all seem to have taken a back step from the days when they were attracting attention from big clubs.Without giving the lads time on the pitch they will never learn or become better players therefore under Kav I can see them only improving away from Carlisle and probably going on to bigger and better things than us . Also depending on how future loans , transfers etc are set up we stand to loose out financially if they are not " put in the shop window" now. All the young boys have talent and will all be desperate to get away therefore it may be an interesting January for Kav in terms of who goes & who stays to warm the bench (and further stagnate) !!

Agreed, after a couple of smart moves her grew in confidence. Maybe a back 3 is the way forward.

Totally agree always feel uncomfortable with Potts at right back. Loan would do him good I think
