Need to get Shawcross in at back, were Baines and Stones injured cos Smalling and Jones are gash and Cahill needs someone solid along side him
Jones is one of worst defenders to pull on an England shirt

I'd put Stones in and tell him the shirt is his for the next 10yrs, he's going to be different class to the likes of Smalling, Jones, Jagielka etc...
Back 4 for Euros of Clyne, Stones, Cahill & Baines would do me. Shaw to come in for Baines after Euros...

Agreed with the above. ^
The thought of Phil Jones coming up against the likes of Ronaldo or Reus at the euros worries me.
I even have this awful thought of Bale absolutely ripping our defence a new one for Wales and us never living it down.

While we're insistent on playing plodders like Henderson, Delph and Townsend, we'll get found out time and again against the better teams...
Milner (Underrated like Carrick was) and Wilshere in middle, Barkeley in front with Rooney up top. Then perm 2 from 4 of Welbeck, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sterling for the wide positions Interchange them game to game to keep it fresh...

I think your all being a little bit arrogant about the bigger set up. To me it's a great idea however it's a double edged sword. The same teams will win the competition but getting other countries helps promote football to a wider audience and if it helps youngsters catch the football bug I'm all for it. There is so much competition now with different sports and computer games that getting young lads to go out and play the game is a struggle.
The other edge of the sword is that with a bigger competition it means that more infrastructure is needed to hold the games, so most likely the bigger football nations will get to hold the euros as they basically are the only ones capable of doing it. The likes of Scotland, Ireland croatia etc holding it have become even slimmer now. Which is a shame for those that would like to see different countries.
End of the day the bigger set up helps the bigger countries more, currently the Netherlands, Ukrane, Russia still have a chance while sitting in 3rd.

I also quite like the idea of more teams competing. The reason I like that is because a lot of the bigger countries use it as part of their building process for the next world cup and are trying things out. For that reason we have seen countries like Denmark and Greece do well there. The more such teams are involved, the better as far as I'm concerned, we might even see Scotland stop boycotting international tournaments this time as well.
I do believe there will be significantly more money made, but I don't think that is the only reason for it, in this case. I think giving a bit more hope of qualification was meant to make the qualifiers a bit more competitive and interesting. I think it has achieved that, although I didn't watch it, I was very interested in the Wales result the other night, and I would never have cared about a Wales game in the past, ever.

I don't have a problem with it, quite enjoyed this week of Football idea - watched nations I would never watch like.
For me if fans of nations who want to actually go matches/comps get a chance to due to this then it is a good thing.

Cracking little ground, if CUFC were to have something similar it would be ideal.
Interesting that the Stadium forms part of a big leisure complex they are building there, total spend is around £390 million, with most of it coming from European funding.

In contrast to the Away in Lithuania where the England allocation meant to be 250 in a 5k Ground!

Rumour was that the allocation will be increased after the Swiss winning there, apparently they had 1,100.
Sometimes having Lithuanian friends in London does have it's benefits, managed to secure 4 tickets in the home end.
