Was paying £3.40 for a cheeseburger under the east stand.
Upon transaction, my comment was "I only asked for ONE" A stony glazed over expression was the only acknowledgement on offer from the vendor, who was obviously used to the situation.
My first, and definitely LAST visit to the refreshment section.
Shame really, the potential for a good meal offer would be widely received, but the club are too busy, greedy & spineless to gamble.

i've mentioned this before on another board, Pioneer in town behind the kings head sell burgers from a little hot plate in the shop. burgers about an inch thick, juicy, tender, in a soft, fresh , buttered roll with fresh fried onions for £2. he's making a profit on them, otherwise he wouldn't be selling them, so why can't he sell the same standard of fare to a captive market? like you, itc, people buy 1 and that's it. if you bought the shop burger for £2, you can pretty much guarantee you'd get one every chance you had. but hey, i'm no millionaire business man.

maybe a job lot on tinned burgers & the pies are nothing to write home about... Bought my boy a chicken (so called) he said it tasted funny so upon trying it for myself decided they must have a new recipe consisting of bleach.

i know it's been mention before and the contract is in a way sweetener for the amount of his own hard earned he's put in, but surely the BOD can see that they could get a much better deal, even off the likes of Greggs who people know what they're getting. if you didn't know pioneer and your first experience of their products was one of those abominations down at BP, then you'd be put off for life.

The big question here though is was it hot ? the last burger i bought in the paddock many years back was stone cold in the middle as were the few before that . Agree with mojo the pioneer shop in town is excellent value and the foods great so why does it taste so **** at BP

You can also buy a top quality pie from the shop up the town for £1.25, not sure what part of the bod's minds work that they sell shitter products for twice the price and then have nobody buy them, if they put on sale the top stuff they sell in the shop most folk would think nothing of buying one at half time, short sighted in the extreme.

it's just like the football of late they've been serving up. the just assume people will keep on turning up and accept it, and as with the football, less and less are doing so.

In the question of hot, it probably was to begin with, but the ice cold cheese single and the walk all the way up to row w put paid to most of the temperature of said burger.
