Is anybody else expecting a 'big' friendly announcement today in an attempt to make us all magically forget what a pack of lying old rats the people running our club really are?

At least our home friendlies are against teams from a higher division. Bradford fans can't be too impressed with having Carlisle at home as a Saturday friendly.

I remember going to Bradford a few year ago and we absolutely footballed them to death, under GREG ABBOTT!!!

God knows. Was a friendly. We won 4-1. Andy Welsh looked like the new Ryan Giggs. Was a hot day and I got a parking ticket. C.nts!

May have been. Think there was a few Bradford idiots in the away end. I went straight to London afterwards to watch Rangers get beat 5-0 by Arsenal.

Honestly I'd rather have these types of friendlies than seeing us play 2x Sunderland reserves teams for 60 and 30 minutes.

I wonder how much we're charging Bradford for the privilege of hosting us.

To be fair, the games we've got against the league sides should provide better preparation than playing a so-called 'big club'. After last season, God knows we need to hit the ground running.

I'd much rather play teams like Bradford and Preston rather than a Premier League team because ultimately pre season is about getting the players ready. Last season we had Sunderland, we were the better team for 70 mins as they didnt care then got ran ragged by their youth team - did it really help the team in any way? Bradford and Preston are much more likely to be up for it as they too will be close to the start of the season and so hopefully will be a much tougher test. Whoever we play it doesnt really matter if the fans are excited by them or not because it will all change depending on how the first game goes. Last year we looked amazing all pre season, after 90 mins vs Luton all the fans forgot that and were very downhearted after four games.

A comfortable Home win, what's not to like. Parkinson will be saying to hiss players 'Fill your boots lads' and ideal to boost confidence before the season starts.
