Did he stipulate in any way of how he wanted the club to be run like the current three are insisting on doing with our possible new owners?
Also when Fred decided to bail out were there no other parties interested in the club?

Knew at the time it was the worst thing Fred could do, every time AJ has had the reigns we have ended up in trouble.

Sounds a bit fishy then, David Allen left sharpish soon after citing it as an old boys club - why get involved in something from the offset without assurances being made.
Freds stupidity has left Nixon and Jenkins a bigger threat than the Trust to Carlisle United.

That article made me feel sick. When they described Nixon as the Pirelli supremo I almost choked.

I recall the press conference snippets on TV. It was as if the press were waiting for the gag to the joke that never came.

"We can see the club strengthening on the business model of the last four years and stabilising itself in the Championship,” said Allen, who runs a chartered accountancy firm in Dalston. Has ever a business plan failed so miserably??? How long did Allen last before he realised he was working with them two old guys on the balcony from the muppet show plus count duckula's nanny!

I'm afraid it wasn't just the 3 others, it was Allen as well. There is no way he should be painted as an innocent in all of this in any way at all. The man had no knowledge of football, and he wasn't even interested in the game at all. This is one of the reasons why having him produce a business plan was foolish, also the fact that he listened to the other 3 fools before he produced the master plan goes a fair way to prove he was just as bad as them.
At the time I, and a number of others (MRF, Wukkie, Piglet etc), called them the four horsemen of the apocalypse and now a few years on I believe we were right.
