playing better football does not mean better teams, I've been to Spain and watched teams up and down their divisions not just watched a few matches on tv although I think the top teams are better I don't think Celta Vigo and Malaga would be anyone in the top 10 in the prem Oh I think they would. The type of football they play, more technical football and movement, closing down space etc would beat our end to end open type of football in my opinion. Like I say further up, the only thing we've got to judge is the leagues respective performances in European competition, and La Liga is proven to be superior over recent years. The rest of the leagues comparison is pure speculation and guesswork, which is why you can't really be certain that la liga is "far worse". What was the score when Malaga played Stoke on a cold wet Wednesday evening, I missed the result, the last I seen of it was when the Spanish players were cowering in the corner from the driving rain or it could just have been Stokes thuggish centre halves kicking the **** out of them for 90 minutes

I can't remember them playing, I've googled it and I still don't know. The only time I remember stoke playing in Europe was 2/3 seasons ago when they got knocked out by losing home and away to Valencia.

So blame the pitch!

Serie A have performed well in Europe this season to be fair. Fiorentina and Napoli in the Europa last 4, Juve in the Champions League final.

If we are going for the strongest I would say the Norweign or Scottish. Best league for Entertainment the English best for technical and skill the Spanish.

What a moment for Hamburg fans, free kick in last minute scored - stops them from dropping for now, extra time coming up.

I watched La Liga for a good few years and was my favourite league to watch until Beckham signed for Real Madrid and Sky destroyed their coverage by completely tugging over the fact every week.
Ever since then the main game has involved either Real or Barcelona without fail and that is when I began to lose interest and I only watch the goals these days. Not everyone is interested in the two biggest clubs as I'd rather watch the other clubs.

Always going to be the one most people want to watch ain't it. Over here they only show Premier League matches involving the big 5 really (United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool) on Sky. They show no Spanish at all like, hardly gets mentioned on Sky Sports news either.
Personally I don't think they should show any other League when an English match is being shown live.

I think if you were to have an all star team from each league, the Spanish League would win. If we're talking about depth it would be better to take one player from each of the top 11 teams (and have a subs bench made up of 12-16) pitted against each other, rather than the all star team or the official team of the year.
