how much profit will a hotel make charging £35 a night once you've taken out business rates, utilities (gas, elec, water, wi-fi, phones, etc) laundry charges, maintenance, staff costs etc? it's in Blackpool, it's not the Waldorf Astoria. certainly won't make up for the £30M they're not getting for being in the PL.

Well Lee Clark's resigned, so maybe whoever he manages next will be interested in them.

What if he's resigned to take the Carlisle job after Keith Curle leaves?

I'd rather have Greg back than that clown! In fact I'd rather have Kav.

Message to both Potts and Gillespie. Just bloody sign the contracts and stay with us another season or more. If you drive us on to promotion you will have both had a great season in a familiar setting with fans who will love you if you bring success. You have plenty of time to move onwards and upwards if you are good enough. Develop and progress with us. Prove your worth and fitness and I will wish you all the best in the world. Don't be greedy or think the grass is greener. It certainly isn't at Blackpool.
Sign up and knuckle down. Good times ahead at Carlisle. ☺

Would not be too disappointed to see Potts leave, we should receive a decent fee via tribunal for him and his focus possibly wavered 2nd half of season as clubs were sniffing around. Not sure about Gillespie, if he stayed fit for a season its a no brainer, but once again if he wants off GK is one position there always seem to be plenty of quality bosmans available to fit the gap.
Key for next season should be continuity. If these guys want off, then get the deals done soon so we can target and bring in replacements before preseason.

For me these two along with Dempsey and Brough are a vital part of taking us forward next season , all products of our yout system and all outstanding prospects .

If we get a bit of cash for Potts I wouldn't be too worried about him going.
Gillespie is a very good keeper and you're knackered without one as we've seen in recent times so I hope he signs quickly though I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for what will be a snip.
Dempsey is the one I'd worry most about going. If he does I hope we get a sizable sum. Somewhere around the £6 million mark would be reasonable.

If only it did charge £35 a night. B&B there comes out at £46 more than ive paid for B&B at the Big Blue Hotel at the pleasure beach which also includes pleasure beach tickets for 3 of us so i dont think its as well priced as Not so Happy posted last night.

They won't sign for Blackpool as things stand. They'd be mad. Be good to resign both but not at any price. Hope we have offered deals similar to But a bit under Dempsey

If Gillespie does go, I hope we go out and sign a quality replacement for the number 1 spot.
I wouldn't like to see us make do with Hanford as the number 1. He isn't quite good enough.

Fon Williams would be high on my list - has always been class against us.

Potts can go as far as I'm concerned, he's done nowt for 6 months. I'd be a bit more bothered if Gillespie went though, then again if they go to Blackpool they deserve all they get!

I would've thought these rumours would be all done now Clark has been sacked, especially the Potts one as Clark has likely been the main reason they were watching him - he watched him a few times when he was at Birmingham and then at Blackpool.

If Gillespie goes and we can get 100 k in compensation it will be a godsend. Who needs a keeper who plays 15 games a season. He stops the club from bringing in a permanent keeper. Potts was injured for the second half of the season. A good preseason and he will be a good player next year

If Potts was injured, he shouldn't have been playing. Poor excuse for a player who for 6 months of the season looked uninterested.

Can anyone really see Potts staying at this stage? He's got work to do to win back the fans if he does, but leaving for a League 1 team seems a much better option for him.

He played whilst injured including two broken toes. The reason he played was because Curle insisted on it. Heard that last Saturday from one of his family. Also made to play whilst other injuries were present.

Made my comment before the reply from nomad about him playing with 2 broken toes. I'd heard he was having injections at one point, but that was months ago. Just how long has he had these broken toes?
You can't force a player to play. If he was that sore/injured, he wouldn't be playing in my opinion.

I would like to know to be fair, also you can easily force a player to play at this level if he doesn't play he get shunned by the manager and cant coplain to the press as then he looks like a trouble maker, I thought his foot did not look right against hartelpool but didnt play to bad in the first half that ball for rigg's goal would have been shown time after time in the premier league same with Dempsey's goal, But the thing is what could curle do? he had to get results and when we did bring in jeffrey monakana most likely to allow potts to recover he got injured, If we can keep both it will be great but if one ends up going i hope it potts as potts may win you 4/5 games as season with a moment of brilliance but Gillespie will win you 6-8 games a season.

If Potts was unfit to play I really don't think he would have been playing. Maybe he didn't want to play but the advice from Dolly was that he was fit enough.
