He must be a better coach than he was a player, he was that bad he would have fitted in perfectly this season

He was bloody dreadful as a player. He used to constantly put his arm up apealing for offside direct from a throw in so I hope he's learnt the rules.
He deserves his chance. You don't get those Uefa badges for nothing.

Can't believe that, I'll be amazed if he's a success. They must have had a song and dance round as part of the interview process.

He offered Grant Holt the assistant managers job, but Grant turned it down

Can't believe people are saying he won't be successful due to his crappiness for us. They must really have followed his career since he left us.

It's a fair gamble by Oldham, but a lot of good managers weren't great players

Going by that tweet he's semi-literate at best and has terrible judgement. Still, crap player + thick is no barrier to being a good manager.

Very much so. If their spelling/grammar is like that on the CVs and covering letters they produce then they must do a fantastic job at selling their clients.

One of the worst players I ever played with was the coach of Middlesbrough Academy at the time...I include some of the hopeless pub Sunday morning teams i played in with 16st drunk blokes in that too, he was hopeless, clearly being utter gash at the sport yourself isn't a barrier to coaching at all.
As the saying goes.....Those who can do, those who can't teach.

You don't get those Uefa badges for nothing. Didn't Kav have all the badges? And he was one of the worst I've seen. maybe the fact being crap as a player means he can explain it better to the simpleton players.

I bet Kelly can't wave his hands about, scream and shout and kick over water bottles like super Roddy Collins did?!
