I hope to God they go down. John Carver is a complete tool. Ashley thought he'd be a good option when Pardew left to keep them ticking over at very little expense.
That'll backfire big style if they go down! Here's hoping.

They are a very well ran club in terms of being a business as continue to make profit, this is Ashley's aim he's not too bothered what happens on the field.
I'd be intersted in Lappings view on Newcastle now as there's a news and star artical a few years ago in which Andrew mentions he was in favour of Mike Ashley's business plan.

Just had this conversation yesterday about if they go down say next season, if nothing big happens in the summer in the way of players coming in.....would serve Ashley right...........anybody see the Dispatches program about how he runs his Sports Direct business....the Football is just a side line.( as many think anyhow)

It wouldn't work at BP, Carlisle fans have more sense than them Toon clowns. But fans are powerless nobby to get rid of these "Tycoon" type owners - they do what they like and nothing can be done to police them - untouchable

Talking to a lad today and he told me Ashley got his first payment for next seasons season ticket in February! Discount if you took it out for 3 years!! Don't know how many others took up this option, very clever man, it's a shame he is also a greedy fat *******, a football club shouldn't be run as a business, I understand it shouldn't run as a massive loss also, but it should belong to the people, city, community. I hope this business model isn't used at cufc, but as I have said to a couple on here I'm not sure it isn't.

Their in trouble now! Manager accusing players of getting sent off! Fans giving up, everyone else around them finding points, relegation? Well I hope so!! People on here have asked what Ashley has done wrong!!!! Really!
Love to see the look on the fat ***** face if they go down and that TV fortune slips through his greedy fat fingers, I'll love it I tell ya.

That'll backfire big style if they go down! Here's hoping. To be fair to Ashley, he hasn't got a hope in hell of pleasing that shower when it comes to picking a manager. Here is the full list of acceptable criteria for a manager, for the average barcodes supporter: 1. Are you Kevin Keegan? <list ends>

I would be ecstatic if they got relegated, which is looking likely.

They clearly thought that blind passion from Carver would get them through the rest of the season. He uses excuses like 'i worked with Sir Bobby' 'I'm Geordie' 'I'm working class' to try and dig himself out of every situation. Unfortunately he's an absolutely woeful manager, no man management skills, shocking tactics, the squad isn't great but that's no excuse. Would laugh if they went down at this point, just because of how woefully the club is run.
Alan Pardew might have saved Palace from relegation this season but if Newcastle stay up then he's probably saved them more than he has Palace!
The sackpardew . com lot should be careful what they wish for...

I think they probably wished for a better manager. Does your thinking apply to the Cuirle out lot?

I think they probably wished for a better manager. Does your thinking apply to the Cuirle out lot? To an extent, yes. it's a gamble sacking any manager as you never know if the replacement will do better. With that said, i think Newcastle's fans were deluded in thinking that they should have been doing better than they were under Pardew.

So are we not deluded thinking we should be doing better under Curle as well? If you look at the cold hard facts 1.29 points per game from a team that was rock bottom isn't too bad. Of course we know he's being judged on a lot of other things as well but is points tally isn't terrible considering what he came in to.

1.29 pts per game isn't good enough That would only give us 59 if you extrapalate that over a full season.

Wasn't John Carver once one of the front runners for the Carlisle job? I think it may have been when we hired McDonald?

As Steve McLaren has turned them down how about Lee Clark? He's a Geordie from Wallsend, ex-player, nice enough bloke and always sounds miserable. It's what the Toon Army deserves.
