In order to finish 1 point above the League 1 relegation zone this is what would have sufficed in the last 10 seasons.
49 points in 40% of seasons 50 points in 50% of seasons 51 points in 90% of seasons
If the points per match ratio of the Kavanagh management continue we will finish on 53 points.
In the second half of the season we have to play the bottom 6 with 5 of those matches away, Stevenage being our only home match. We also have to play the top 5 with 4 of those matches away, Brentford being our only home match.
In January we must lower the wage bill and in any event we may not keep all our loanees. I expect the bottom 6 to all spend money in January, regardless of their financial situation.
Nevertheless I expect that we will finish 18th without ever quite being in terrible difficulty.
