Potts and Morris today were abysmal. Potts started quite brightly with his link up play with Amoo, but the second 45 was defo one to forget.

I must admit when I heard potts was in the team it worried me. Seems his progression has gone backwards a bit.

no proper left back, no proper right back and miller in his usual position face down in the turf most of the game, we done well keeping it to 1.

We must have the most unsettled back four on the planet.

Personally id have put thirls at CB and moved Ehmer out to right back. Easy for me to say now though.

Agree with Bench Warmer that Thirwell should maybe have started at centre back (hindsights a wonderful thing) and brought Noble back into midfield, Chantler may have been the better option at left back as seemed ok when he came on. Not sure what Potts brings to the team at the moment. If one of the CBs was going to be mom thought Ehmer was better.

Criminal that we had to let McSweeny go when Edwards and Cadz pretty much steal a living from us.

if chantler was kept out of the starting 11 because of injury, then fair enough, but he seemed up to speed when he did come on. if was kept out because Kav thought morris was a better lb, then he needs his bumps felt.

I can only recall Miller going down 2 or 3 times. Huntington and Bailey Wright kept shoving him in the back, the ref only seemed to take notice once Miller went down in the first half.
I don't know why we launch it to miller. He's far more effective with the ball played into feet, his distribution is pretty good, but hoofing it towards his head when their centre backs are 6ft 4 is pointless.
Thought their 2 full backs did well and kept Amoo and more so Lawrence quiet. Without being spectacular they won the tactical battle and were able to grind out the result.

we were saying the same, especially first half with the sun in his eyes. totally pointless tactics. got to the stage where he even stopped challenging for the high balls.

Potts just simply isn't good enough to consistently play at this level

i don't think he's that bad a player, just deffo not a full back. he plays a decent game playing in Berretts position.

The argument of playing Potts out of position has no substance, he is a right back, center back and midfielder.

he needs to re-evaluate his C.V. then.

Potts looked ok in the first few games last season at right back. For me it all stems back to the notts county match, the 4-0. Potts was given an absolute roasting by Alan Judge that afternoon, then Judge went off and Zoko came on and had Potts turned inside out and they exploited that side and ran out comfortable winners. Since then Potts hasn't had a good game at right back. Maybe it's a confidence thing, but be looks a completely different player in midfield. That's his position. Ehmer should go back to right back on Sunday, unless Chimbonda is back.
