Have heard that he will sign till the end of the season when his loan finishes on the 1st.

I hope that you are correct but I seriously doubt that Moyes will allow that length of loan deal. Amos is 3rd choice at the moment at MU and if either of the first 2 get injured / suspended / seriously out of form he will be on the 1st team bench in League Cup, FA Cup, Premiership and Champions League matches.
I hope that he signs up for the whole of January. By then we will surely have Gillespie back. Manchester United will after that be entering the 'meaty' bit of the season on several fronts and Amos will be gone from Carlisle.

Good thing the actual goalkeeping position isnt cause for alarm at Old Trafford.

Wouldn't think there will be much of a problem with that loan move going through.

I totally agree & that seems the most plausible outcome than to the end of the season.

I still think Gillespie is good enough.

Amos is on £12k a week at Man Utd, we'll maybe get him until the end of Jan, to give Gillespie time to get fully fit...

Just 12k? For some reason i thought he`d be a 20k barrier. Still a very tiday sum to get each week.

Both us and Manchester United play on the Sunday in the FA Cup 3rd Round. In the very unlikely event of us being still in the Cup after that date and Manchester United being out of it, then Ben Amos would be able to play for us in the FA Cup, since there would be no possibility of him playing for Manchester United in it. Moyes would have no reason to refuse our request. It affects no other cup competitions and also the recall clause is not affected. The scenario is not very likely to happen though.

end of Jan will do. Gillespie is good enough for now until he gets all his skill coached out of him.
