Is it 1 raffle ticket per fan Deano? If someone has more than £50 worth of ticket I think it's not fair as that's all I have. Why should they have more of a chance of winning then me? sorry

You certainly can still buy them: www.thecumbrians.net/buyDraw is due to take place in the Rugby Club after the Mansfield game I believe, though I will confirm. List of winners will be posted here and on the main website as soon as possible after the draw.

Rugby Club?! Jesus wept... hahaha unbelievable. you can't sell the tickets in the ground in case it impacts on the golden gamble tickets even though 100% of the monies raised is for the club, and now they're having the draw away from the club for why? in case something positive comes from it or good news breaks out? they really don't help themselves.

This wasn't the club's decision to be fair to them, it was a decision the various groups took collectively. We felt that there would be more in attendance if the draw was held at the Rugby Club as there's a lot of people that venture there after the game. We didn't feel there would be many stick around at the club if the draw were to be held in the Sunset Suite, or Sporting Inn for example.
Just to confirm, the draw will take place at 5:30pm in the Rugby Club, as previously mentioned.

again, could the club not have used this event as some sort of catalyst to start to encourage people to stop back for a pint or two in the club bars? make an occasion of it, put a few sarnies / pork pies buffet type thing on, nowt major, just nibbles. at least it would look like they were grateful for the £7K that had been raised.

Don't be silly, that far too sensible a suggestion.
I'm sure the rugby club were more than happy to host such an event.

Great decision to hold the draw in the RC.
The drink is far better than the pish they sell in the Sunset/Sporting Inn.

I don't think that's the point mashi(even tho it's shocking peeve). It just shows that the current owners haven't got the brains to offer something like mojo says. They aren't bothered about the fans

Don't want to entertain the raffle, yet I bet they can't cash that cheque quick enough.

It`s not their Raffle tho - yes the Club is the beneficiary but the Supporters Groups have organised it so why would the Club get involved.

just what i said, it wouldn't have hurt them to show some appreciation or gratitude for the £7K. they would probably have sold more beer than what the buffet would have cost too and it would maybe get folk used to going in there, but i don't think it would have mattered anyway if it had been the clubs raffle, they're not bothered about the paying customers, they just want the money off them and the prestige of 'owning' a football club.
