...were our lads were burned out today - 3 games in 6 days - that was a game we should have won comfortably...all the loans are expiring this week - doesn't bode well IMO and I was very optomistic... OR were they saving themselves? I bet Kav wishes he hadn't played Thirwell now.

I don't think there is anything to be concerned about. We will get the result we want on Sunday regardless: A break from the league, a nice day out at a premiership club, and a bit of FA Cup / Gate receipt money into the club funds. You could field the youth team and still get that result. In fact sending out the reserves might be a good idea as it will give first teamers a much needed break. Obviously this will never happen as the big players will want to play in the "Big" games to up their profile. Hopefully this will mean that they are up for it and in turn may help improve the profile of the club as a whole. Who knows? We may even pull off a shock result and earn a reply. But let's not forget that it is league games that are more important in the long run.

I'm concerned about the team we might have to put out if loans don't get extended and injuries. At the moment I'm seeing this, and it scares the **** out of me! Fleming Chimbonda Edwards CMW Townsend Berrett Noble Buaben Amoo Miller Robson

I think Kav would rather play Potts at centre half than Edwards, but neither would be ideal.

Think it would be easier and safer to put P.C. in at CB and one of the other options in at FB But without the loan players resigning and being made available other than Thirlwell that wouldnt be far off the team that would of played anyway. Take a look at the players who played in the previous 3 F.A. Cup games.

Don't be concerned about the result in the cup, the league fixtures are far more important. The FA cup is just a day in the sun and a chance to fill the coffers, nothing more.
The only people who should be that bothered about the Cup result are the thousands of part time fans who have come out of retirement just for that game.

I am not a part time fan but would still like to see a positive performance in the hope it will instill some confidence. It might also attract a few back to BP to help fill the coffers so that Kav can afford decent signings.

Surely Potts at right back would be a better option than having Chimbonda there and having to play Edwards. Is it confirmed that O'Hanlon and Livesey are definately out? I thought Potts was unlucky not to play against Crewe, he was very poor against Preston and struggled for the first 20-30 mins against Pererborough, but second half he played really well. I suppose we could go with
Fleming
Potts Chimbonda CMW Townsend
Berrett Buaben Noble
Robson Miller Amoo

There's a reason why Potts played **** against Preston and well against Peterborough. Against Preston he played at right back, where as against Peterborough he played in midfield.
But yes I would rather shove Potts in defence than have to resort to playing Edwards.

I don't know why everyone is saying O'Hanlon is out, he was left out vs Crewe as a precaution. He's a doubt for Sunderland, but by no means out. Kav is hoping he'll play.

Tom Lawrence is a massive boost. If Sean is out id actually be tempted to go with something like this. Fleming Chimbonda Meppen-Walter Townsend Amoo Potts Berrett Robson Buaben Miller Lawrence
It would be risky but if Amoo and Robson play effectively as wing backs, it could work and I'm confident Townsend is a competent enough defender to play a more central role. Plus I was watching sunderland the other day and they do play quite narrow, they don't tend to use the wings an awful lot and their full backs aren't really quick.

good plan crunch by the way any chance your madonna with the big boobies might get a new top....most offputting logging in and being confronted lol! and great news on Lawrence - United obviously only want a month by month committment - the lad'll probably fancy it v the Mackems - big stage and all that - hope Cattemole doesn't clatter him

Would agree with that, but against Peterborough we played the 3 at the back and Amoo still got forward a lot but helped out defensively when he had to. He's quick enough imo to the defensive side while still getting up the pitch for counter attacks (see his goal vs Stevenage), same applies to Robson. I doubt we'll go with that, but it's just a thought and an option.
