Watching him warming up twice now he seems to be "carrying" his right ankle/foot - not sure he's fully fit hence his stop start return!

With us signing Connor Townsend for the rest of the season, I would say Chantler's injury is a big concern for both player and club. Is it more serious than the club are letting on? Hopefully not, but it's not looking good for the lad so far.

odd one really, because when he he does come on, albeit cameo appearances, he seems to be fitter than the rest of the team.

I don't think Chantler is a left back and Robson is a head of him for that position. with Townsend coming in resolves that issue anyway.

Given that he goes from bench, to starting, to not featuring at all, I think as has been alluded to above it was be worse than thought. Given that he's out of contract in June and that the club can't afford to carry players not playing (Cadamateri, Loy, Edwards) , unless he plays a good dozen full games or so for the rest of the season I think he'll be on his way

We paid Loy's wages for a year when he was injured before getting rid

I really hope the lad can get fit because he has a great deal of talent and potential. It would be sad to see him leave Utd because of injury but at present we can't afford to hold on to injured players. As I say I just hope he can get fit as I would like him to stay.

I dont understand why players dont take out their own insurance cover which would then allow a player whos had an injury like C.C. or Rory Loy for example to stay at a club for another year to fully get over an injury without the club having to pay any wages or offer a full contract beyond the one thats expiring.

To be fair though Loy wasn't injury prone like Cadamateri. Abbott must have expected him to make a full recover from his broken leg. A injury that could have happened to anyone.

Very true dancing bear was just using Loy as an example. Incidentally , it would be interesting to see would be how many games Miller has played and missed through suspencion and injury since he signed, must be not much better than 60%/40%

i really don't think we've had the equivalent of a full season out of Miller.

I know it was only 10-15 minutes of observation, but a few weeks ago, when i had the pleasure of a behind scenes tour on a match day, i did notice one or two things. Chants was one of them, stood in the boot room, now ive never met the lad until then, but he wasnt happy about something. perhaps i read too much into it, afterall that kind of thing happens in all workplaces.
