Bearing in mind that we play Preston North End on Saturday 12th April let's do the Big Blue a big favour. Make his pub / inn (or the one that he manages) the one to gather at from the moment that it opens in the morning. Indeed it may well have rooms to let, so let's book them all up for Friday and Saturday. He may well own many such establishments, so we should choose the one that he uses as his main operating base.

However many such establishments that he owns we could do him a very big favour by splitting our support evenly between them all and booking all the rooms in each of them for Friday and Saturday.

and then we can invite Moose and Fattim along for a lark - plus a variety of others who had a pop at Barry a few years ago.

There are some cynical cunts on here who do not believe that THEBIGBLUE owns his own shoes. This is a chance for them to turn up and apologise.

I'm baffled. Why would anyone want to stay overnight in Preston? It's probably no more than 1.5hrs -2.5hrs travel for most Carlisle fans.

"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave Preston. No, Sir, when a man is tired of Preston, he is tired of life; for there is in Preston all that life can afford." — Samuel Johnson

"Actually Moose youre incorrect Barry owned and ran a company that at its peak ran up to 15 pubs and had a turnover of over £2.5 million p.a.
At the begining of the Financial Crisis he saw that the business model he operated wouldnt work in a recession and moved on to a couple of other projects one involved in supplying management staff to the licenced trade and the other somthing more internet based.
But please dont let the truth get in the way of you bad mouthing someone you clearly know very little about."
Maybe if youd kept up youd of read the above that i posted on here last week when i was first asked about Barry
As i said then he got out of the pub game in 2009 with the exception of the Management Agency which one of his former manageresses still runs for him and as i said the other day he.s now involved in a couple of online businesses.
And as it happens he no longer lives in Preston but does get back up to Lancashire and South Cumbria pretty regularly and as i said is back up here this weekend for a family party and has tickets for the Sunderland game waiting for him here so you might bump into us there if your going Mr Gabriel.
There are plenty of people who were around at the time who visited some of Barrys Pubs inc the one in Accrington, one in Bamber Bridge where i think CCU visited a few times but the only one he had in Preston itself was not the sort of place youd want to visit unless you wanted to run into some of the worst elements of the Preston Crew believe me.

Aye, The Black Bull in Bamber Bridge, as one of my mates supped in it. He was saying it's shut now and not even a pub?
