Prince Buaben
James Berrett
Danny Cadamarteri
Chris Chantler
Mike Edwards
Brandon Gwinnutt
Lewis Guy
Danny Livesey
Jack Lynch
Lee Miller (plus further 12 month option)
Liam Noble
Alex Salmon
Paul Thirlwell
Josh Todd
Who would you renew? Who would you get rid of?
I'd keep Chantler, Berrett and Buaben. I think a full pre season would do Buaben the world of good. I'd see how the rest of the season fares for Thirlwell and Noble. Thirlwell has been quite possibly our most consistent performer this season, but he is getting on, and you do have to ask if he could handle another year. But I'd get rid of the rest. Should free up a decent amount of money in the budget. I'd imagine Cads, Edwards, Thirlwell, Livesey, Miller and Noble alone to be on a decent wedge. Could be talking near enough £10k a week for the lot of them?

I'd keep Miller, Berrett, Prince, Thirlwell and possibly Noble depending on how he does second half of the season.

Agree with Crunchblue; Miller, Berrett, Bauben. Would like to see how Chantler comes on from his injury and if Noble performs like he did yesterday a bit more often then definitely.
Remember Salmon used to bang them in for the youth team, but haven't really seen him play myself. Surely he's got potential to do something, wonder what Kav and co think of him.

Prince Buaben = got to keep hold of him, sure he will get better as he settles.
James Berrett = starting to look like the player from a couple of seasons ago, give him another 12 months
Danny Cadamarteri = Click click boom
Chris Chantler = keep
Mike Edwards = 5-4-3-2-1 BOOM
Brandon Gwinnutt = he is meant to have some talent but if he isn't pushing Potts for the RB spot before the end of the season, is he that good ?
Lewis Guy = If better comes along then it is goodbye from me
Danny Livesey = He is finished at Carlisle, no place for sentiment there is better out there.
Jack Lynch = same as Gwinnutt
Lee Miller = Can he be bothered, if it was a yes then sign him up
Liam Noble = yes
Alex Salmon = another player that is a puzzle, lots of goals in the reserves and youth level but Abbott played him on the left and then he has been sent on loan to Alloa and still no goals.
Paul Thirlwell = player coach role ?
Josh Todd = another with the talent but not getting a chance to show it and sent out to lower league football in Scotland, doesn't look good for him tbh.

Brandon Gwinnutt, sounds like a Welsh poet wandering lonely as a cloud, much like our own Wordsworth wandering lonely as a cloud in that Workington defence.

Defininately keep Buaben, Thirlwell and Berrett. People were up in arms about Thirlwell being offered a new deal at the start of the season but just as well he was, arguably player of the season so far. Even if we only get half the games out of him, the level of performance he provides in those games is worth it (see Paul Murray a few yrs ago). Edwards and Cadamateri will be out the door soon as the season finishes, guaranteed. Livesey most likely not far behind. Noble and Chantler still have a lot to prove to earn new deals, and re Miller depends on his attitude and no doubt the usual dragged out saga of him trying to find another club. Don't know enough about the young lads. Salmon, Gwinnutt, Todd etc to comment either way. Noble did pretty well v PBoro but after the way he finished last season I had hoped he would push on more from the start of this season. Theres undoubtedly a decent player there, away to Doncaster last season he was superb, but he is getting to the age where he needs to find consistency. Probably worth another year. Regarding the LB situation in an ideal world we would get shot of Chantler and get Townsend back

I'd try to keep Berrett and Miller. I'd offer Thirlwell a player/coach role... And I might consider Buaben and Noble if they do well in the rest of season. Get rid of the rest.

I'd get rid of the the lot of them apart from Chantler and possibly Noble.
Most of them have been underperforming for too long. Time for some fresh faces.

i wonder how much a weeks collective salary is for that lot, that we'd have for new blood, if we got rid of the lot?

Only ones worth keeping are:
Prince Buaben James Berrett Lewis Guy Liam Noble Paul Thirlwell (Player/Coach?)
Gwinnutt, Lynch, Salmon & Todd aren't good enough, or they'd be pushing already...

Edwards and Cadamateri have probably cost the best part of £400k over two years with virtually no return so to get them off the books is going to be a big relief.
