Notts County need 32 points from their remaining 22 games in order to get to 50 points which would give them a 50/50 chance of staying up.
Such form would make them the 11th best team in League One.
I declare Notts County relegated as of now.

How on earth have things turned so bad there. I normally think of notts county as one of those bank rolled teams that flirt with the play offs

Turned out their owner wasn't as rich as he said he was, he jumped ship, and they had to offload some of their expensive players. Even after that though, I still (whether its subconscious or not) see them as better off than us financially.

Not really that disheartned to see Notts struggling. Used to live in Nottingham and most County fans I met always seemed to think they were a massive club, most came across a bit arrogant and couldn't hold a conversation with many of them about league one football.
I very much doubt they're all the same

I normally think of notts county as one of those bank rolled teams that flirt with the play offs The city of Nottingham has more than 4 times the population of Carlise. Once you get out of Carlisle in any direction you see only sheep until you arrive at such a metropolis as Penrith. Beyond the outer periphery of Nottingham there is still a significant immediate population in any direction. Even allowing for the fact that there is another substantial club in Nottingham, in order to make Notts County a team that is in dire danger of being in Tier 4 you really have to utterly fuck things up big time.

Did anybody else hear Russell Slade, the Orient manager, bigging up Greggy on Sunday night's Football League Show? You would think he was a) likely to plan an escape route for the Magpies and b) running the shop down in Nottingham.
