By the looks of it, Laffy and his Consortium seem to be gone now. Unless we can be told different?

Well then prepare to say goodbye to the club in a few years. Nice one Jenkins and Nixon, another good day's work lads.

Has mr lapping been told anything by Nixon since the 5-10 days crack at the start of all this? If not I wouldn't blame him if he has gone

Spoke with one of the investors involved in Lapping's proposal and they made no indication that Lapping was pulling out.

Why do you say that?
He has still been posting on here fairly regularly. It may just be the case that he's heard nothing new, so has no new comments to make. It must be incredibly frustrating for him, having to deal with those 2 in the first place must have been bad enough, but now getting the run around from them must be really grating on him. I think I'd have to bite my tongue and limit my comments if I were having to deal with those lunatics.

They just need to sit tight til we (the fans) give Nixon & co no option but to go with the Lapping deal.

We won't be able to do that mate, their mystery investor smokescreen has bought them the time they needed to get some money in from Potts. They're going to continue that dragging on as long as possible, then announce talks have broken down, obviously the fault will be with the mystery billionaire, not them. Then they can announce that they will be going forward with parts of the Lapping plan but without the hassle of changing ownership and with a smaller contingency amount (the Potts money). They might even try to sneak something in about the dilution of the Trust's shareholding going ahead, while ensuring Pattison retains his. The next announcement will be Pattison's return to the board.

It's that quiet you would think they were all talking to each other instead of us.

I'd say this threads been designed to provoke a reaction from Mr Lapping!

The only bit you've missed out is the completion of the 'Blue Yonder' debacle, and the announcement in 10 months' time that following our relegation to the Conference we're now going part-time.

I am speculating guys, I am just frustrated with the lack of information. I think we need a boost, some hope. I was hoping Laffy could give us and update?

Unfortunately, I don't think he can update us, because he won't have been updated himself. After all how is it possible to be updated on something that doesn't even exist in the first place. All Nixon and Jenkins can say to him at the moment is "talks are ongoing".

I'm going to be a bit more optimistic - we haven't heard from Laffy because things are happening behind the scenes.

I thought Nixon said he was standing down the other week
pardon my ignorance its just I have switched off the whole episode after being so upbeat about the Laffy & co deal which I thought was the best most positive thing to happen to club in decades, then totally let down again

I'm pleased Laffy still with us. Worryingly, I do wonder if AJ sees the Potts transfer fee, as little as it may be in down payment, as a way for him and his mate Nixy to stay - after all this'll bolster the cash flow til autumn by which time he'll hope to have realised the main asset (Dempsey). I think the main men may be staying .....

Steven Pattison has only stepped down from the BOD of the holdings company (leaving AJ and JN). He is currently still Director of Football and on the operational board of the club. None of that has changed. It was due to, under the AL proposal.
