I'm sure Lapping already found out stuff.
Story doesn't like bad press. People were starting to get in his back when it was reavealed his loan was stopping people coming forward. Next thing he apparently waived the loan for a bit of good publicity. It was already waived as such ages before.
If you look on certain lookup sites it still states Story having interest in Cufc holdings.
Story was getting bad publicity when he "left" as conspiracy theories of him not wanting us getting automatic promoted were afoot.
If story got the trust down to 10% then acquired the other shares then bingo he could progress with anything watch this space.

Was the Story loan in Fred's name or as Storys - if it was the latter, I doubt he could write the loan off without some carror Why would people go on the Trust board if they do not have the time to do it (bearing in mind someone pointed out they are mostly public sector or ex public sector employees)

carlislewhite "Why would people go on the Trust board if they do not have the time to do it". I am on because I'm passionate about Carlisle United and want to contribute in some small way. And I believe Carlisle United is a Community Club and the fans have to help. If your passionate about something you find the time.People find the time about coming on here and moaning - obviously that's there passion. Oh and by the way I work full time in the private sector.

Id love to see the results of a proper credit/company check by the likes of Experian etc. on CUFC and the related holding companies.

According to this site, which seems bang up to date (It has Pattinsons resignation as a director listed). Fred is still a Director of CUFC Holdings Ltd, but not a shareholder. Not sure why that would be the case if he has nothing to do with the club anymore? Shareholders are Jenkins, Nixon, Trust and Pattison as we all know. But directors are Jenkins and Fred Story with Nixon as Secretary. Whats that all about? www.endole.co.uk/company/02681218/cufc-holdings-limitedwww.endole.co.uk/profile/44138/norman-frederick-storyInteresting looking back at an article about Fred waiving the loan on the official site. Notice the wording - There is a difference between owner and director. It doesn't say he left all his positions, just his position as majority shareholder aka owner. Why say Fred has nothing to do with the club when he is still listed as a director? It seems he has passed ownership to AJ, JN etc. But has kept his directorship. Strange they seem to have pretended otherwise for the past 7 years. I dont remember it ever being mentioned he was still a director at the club. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Flume - was not having a go, but the fact there are 12 people on the board of the Trust and not one seems to be able to make a statement on the most important issues at the club in years is fairly shocking. Hence when you said you (or any of the other 11) did not have time to put the Trust's viewpoint on the fans biggest message board (or indeed anywhere else) led me to ask the question. I have said for quite some time that the solution is to appoint someone with the responsibility (and time) to be able to speak on behalf of the Trust as matters airse. It cannot be that hard!

carlislewhite no offence taken. I didn't say I didn't have the time just time is precious. Anyway there are 11no. people on the Board and you're right communication has to improve. Statements, I think you'll find, have been made recently and others will be forthcoming very shortly. Our representative was on the Radio Cumbria Tuesday sports show talking about the current situation. We have also had a meeting this week, as we do every week now, and were thrashing out a way forward. As I've said before we don't all agree on everything and strong differing opinions are expressed. Like people on here. All I would say is that we are all united in supporting our club. And anyone is welcome to stand for election - if they have the time.
