I know they are the morons on here who are going to make snide comments about pride such as why is there not a straight pride etc but they are some really good acts in the centre of Carlisle tomorrow such as the three degrees, Marc alomond and many more. Just a note to stop comments it's a family event they will be no explicit context , it does not make you gay to go and you will not be hit on. The funding all comes from donations and sponsorship last year it was a huge success and brought money into the city so support please.

There are also people on here who aren't morons and wouldn't watch Marc Almond or The Three Degrees if they were playing in their back garden. I was in Belfast four years ago when there was a Pride thing on there, and it was one of the best days I've ever had. The parade that day was probably the best parade that ever happened in Northern Ireland, and it certainly didn't need to be routed round religious areas or anything. You're right as well it didn't make me gay, nor was I hit on, although I did get a couple of drinks bought for me.

I can imagine Moorlad happy as Larry wearing his cravat and sweating as he rubs himself up against the crowd If you fancy gan see Marc Almond then take Griff and there will be no chance of getting hit on if he wears that hat....

Too hot for the hat.
I do actually have a cravat. It was sent to me by a lad who posts on the Cambridge board along with a couple of his band's cds (which are very good).

Aye they're decent.
He was also in another band before that and I have one of their cds as well. Me and Moorlass are off down to Leicester at the start of August, hopefully we'll catch Echolocation playing, I'll know better when she tells me exactly what dates we're going for, and can arrange something with them.

My hat is brilliant. I wear it for warmth and it also keeps rain off of me glasses. It's not a fashion statement, a bit like moorlad's 999 teeshirts.

Not the best opening line to start a post about prejudice off on, is it ? I would rather suggest it would be like asking for the "morons" to comment in the exact way you don't want them too. Marc Almond is however a legend but I am working unfortunately.

Well I enjoyed it. It seemed to be 4 degrees warmer and 80% tighter. I'm obviously talking about the weather in town today and my trousers after the Indian last night.

Not really my cup of tea, to be honest. I still want it to be a success tho. Thought I'd ask the folk off here, most likely to be there.
