Blame the BoD for not having a proper go at staying up in League one when we had the chance. Folk keep saying certain members of BoD keep firing money at new signings, where were they then? Nacho Novo on a few hundred quid a week and a bout 50 young lads on loan. Have you seen the amount of northern teams in League One again this season?

This short thread hardly shows the usual anticipation of a new season - apathy reigns - take note CUFC.

Not impressed, as someone has pointed out - London 3 times in January! I love the London games but that will be a bridge too far to take in all 3. Also Leyton Orient on a Tuesday is a bummer, that is the one I was really looking forward to.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to get in there first and say that this is obviously all Keith Curle's fault

ccu was the person who complained about you playing it last season! Yeah good point, that would be seen as a vested interest.

Surely Virgin and Sir Richard Branson could strike a deal on the rail?

Only to London. Virgin don't have anything to do with Cross-Country now, plus normal passengers would just kick up a fuss...

Why not give the season ticket to a charity, or some organisation where someone would really enjoy going to the game? I've always liked that blind and visually impaired fans watch us just feeding off the crowd. Why not give the ticket to www.cumbriasocieties.org.uk/ ?

Can't remember ever dreading a season as much as this one.. I should probably finally try to find a new hobby.
With the number of Southern based teams it's vital that Brunton Park is some sort of fortress. Sadly it will probably be the opposite. Only 2 midweek games at home... if those ***kheads are still in charge, if Curle is changing the team every week and giving strange interviews, if we are regularly getting stuffed on our long trips away.. including 4 midweek... I can see us only getting 2-3000 for home games with zero atmosphere... and teams coming up and seeing us as an easy 3 points....
The run in isn't the best if we are in a position again where we require a few wins to stay up...
The next month or so is crucial to Carlisle... this could be an absolute disaster of a season which could set us back a decade or more.. and it won't have crept up on us by surprise.. it's been plain to see for years which direction the club is heading in..

I honestly think if that happened in Germany at about 90% of Clubs both sets of fans would boycott that, especially in the lower leagues.
