I think the financial side of things still needs to be confirmed. Haven't listened to the radio from tonight yet, so don't know if any more has been mentioned.

Worth a listen if you haven't already: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02sr0xs#autoNigel Davidson confirms that over the past few days the club have agreed to auto enroll Season Ticket holders into the revamped Trust (opt-out available), and that the Trust are hoping to re-brand as an Official Supporters Club.

Be interested to see how such a move would stand in terms of Data Protection? We entrust our details to CUFC for the purchase of a Season Ticket, not to be enrolled into outside organisations...

'Win win' melbers. You'll save £10 a year on your Trust subscription, get it included with your ST.

As I understand it, and as has been mentioned, you have the option to opt-out, prior to being enrolled. It's not something you opt out of once enrolled. How that will work for this season, I don't know, but no doubt next season your season ticket form will have an opt-out tick box.

Major problem is, when next season's ticket deals were launched, this wasn't an option. How will it be financed, what about folk who aren't ST Holders and pay £10 Trust Fee's etc. By pushing it in now, you could potentially open up various minefields...
Be far better for the Trust to concentrate on their rebrand, then look to push this for next Summer. Would also allow folk to evaluate wether a new look Trust/Supporters Club would be something they'd be interested in...

Agree to an extent CCU, but the Trust have been pushing for this auto-enrollment for a long time, and finally the club have agreed to it. Better to get something in writing now, before the plug is pulled. I suspect it will be difficult to sort out the financial side of things before the new season starts - as you say, there's a lot of things to take into consideration. If it's left until next season, it would also give a re-branded Trust a full season to make the changes known to supporters, and as you say give them chance to see whether it's something they feel would be beneficial to them, and something that they would want to be a part of.

Great. I'm all for that. Saves me 10 quid and the trust will now have 1500 members at least. Result.

I'm not precious about our ideas or ideals being adopted by the Club-at least they seem to be listening to long overdue initiatives to increase fan engagement.
I do wonder however if they will adopt my proposal to have club directorships restricted to 5 years duration to encourage new blood and fresh ideas -just like public companies.See my original restructure note for more detail on this.

I also suggested this idea a while ago on here even though I'd rather have my balls cut off than join the trust.

So a Trust spokesman announced this on radio, then they fail to follow up with any news, press release etc. No wonder folk aren't interested in them...

There is an announcement coming so I was told the other day. Why does it have to be immediately? Maybe the club want to release something at the same time.

Then don't announce it on the radio and leave it for a week or two before doing it officially. The announcement should be fully coordinated so all partners run with it at the same time for maximum impact rather than doing it in dribs and drabs.

My main reason for not buying a season ticket in the past has always been that I can't manage to get to very many midweek games. I now have a new main reason for not buying a season ticket, and the midweek games issue is only secondary.
It will be a cold day in hell before I'll let the Trust, in it's current form, have access to any of my details, or any of the money I pay to the club.

No way should the club be passing your details onto a third party. There's more clues up people than me on here but isn't that slightly illegal anyway?
