i dont really get why people want such an exciting pre season. the matches are boring, with way too many subs. its a good chance to see new signings before the start of the season but thats about all i take from it.

We need some competative games , yes we can help local clubs out but we prepare so badly every season, we need to be facing tougher teams, we need to play teams in the conference and teams at least in league 1 and the championship as one match against an SPL team does nothing. have the smaller matches for fitness and then play teams like Barrow, Fleetwood/Blackpool and Blackburn.

They have to want to play us aswell remember. For Championship teams they will only see us as a fitness exercise most likely, so they may want to play us at a point in preseason when we don't want to play them.

We should play in a competition like we used to do years ago in the Isle of Man. Then there is something to play for.

Buddle has just said on Twitter that he is looking forward to the game. Signed his contract then?

He won't be getting any better offers than us so I would assume so

I'd predict Gateshead and barrow as well and maybe Bolton seen as we got white and iliev from them on loan. Also maybe Sunderland again seen as they helped us out with the floodlights. My 4 guesses for the other friendlies Gateshead away other two at home And unfortunately we might get a Scottish team but not too sure about that this year hope not unless it's Celtic

None of them are finalised yet flatcap - we'll release a full schedule once they are (they all come with contracts to be signed and agreed).
